This was my May Sweeps story and it was a complete pleasure to do. Dave Foulk is a legendary news man who has worked for a number of outlets in the Southeast, including WBIR. But, that is not why you should know him. He is just a great man with a bright personality. He let me and the station into his house last week to learn about his personal battle with colon cancer. He was very forthcoming. He wanted do anything, he said, to stop others from getting that illness. Here’s the piece above.
Whoa, I’ve been off of here for some time. Anyway, as most Knoxvillians know, Yee-Haw Industries downtown on Gay Street announced it will soon close. It’s existed for 15 years, both in Knoxville and Corbin, KY, and its impact has been profound. Here’s the story I did yesterday on what Yee-Haw means to K-Town. It’s a pretty unique place. Not many places like it. Do you have any Yee-Haw stuff?
I have seen these in the Old City, on the UT campus and downtown. They are kind of creepy and really cryptic. Does anyone know what they are about? Or, better yet, who is responsible for them?
Here is my story from last night. Baseball brings people together, even in the face of tragedy…
Here are some photo’s I’ve forgotten to add in the last two weeks. Can you guess which one is my favorite? Here’s a hint. It’s the heart.
